The Method
Grounded in ACT, Process Based Therapy, and Personalisation
Every bubble looks the same from a distance. Look closer and each one has its own swirl, its own pattern of colour, unrepeated. People are the same: familiar in shape, but everyone carries a pattern that's entirely their own.
Sessions are built around your process, not a script, so the work stays workable, honest, and yours.
Who This Is For
Who This Is For
You care. You've been trying, reading, pushing through on willpower, telling yourself to just cope. To everyone else, you look capable, switched on, the one people rely on.
Inside, it's different: working twice as hard just to hold the shape of "fine," with no one seeing what it costs you. That's not a personal failing. The strategies that got you this far made sense, they just weren't built to carry you any further.
This can look like anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, relationship strain, or a big life transition that's knocked things off balance.
If that's you, you're exactly who I want to work with.
The Promise
Together, we build psychological flexibility: room for difficult thoughts and feelings without being run by them, and the ability to keep choosing what matters to you, even when anxiety or old patterns show up.
Not eliminating hard emotions. Changing your relationship to them.
How We'll Work Together
Grounded in ACT, Process Based Therapy, and Personalisation
My therapeutic approach is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (said as one word, ACT) which is based on contextual behavioural science. It is a modern, evidence-based therapy. According to this approach, every thought, feeling, and behaviour has a function, and exists in context. Therapy isn't about fixing what's wrong with you. It's about working with the patterns keeping you stuck.
I intentionally move away from labels and diagnoses as the starting point. You are not an anxiety disorder or a diagnosis. You're a whole person, and the patterns keeping you stuck are specific to your life and context. That's why personalisation and a process based approach matter to me more than fitting you into a category.
- Understand the pattern: what you're doing, and why it made sense
- Build psychological flexibility: room for hard thoughts and feelings, without being ruled by them
- Clarify what matters: your values as the compass
- Take values based action: small, workable steps forward
- Personalise the process: this is the focus of Farah's PhD research, and she may use idiographic tools to track what's actually working and adjust course with you as therapy progresses, rather than sticking to a single plan meant to fit everyone
A relationship, not just a technique
I bring myself into the room, not just my training. I don't stay neutral for the sake of it. If something moves me, you'll know. If something needs to be said, I'll say it, gently. That's part of helping you grow. I'm authentic with you, and part of the work is helping you reconnect with your own.
